Writer Profile/Biography: Saradindu Bandyopadhyay
Saradindu Bandyopadhyay was born on March 30, 1899 in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He tried his hands at creative writing with his debut collection of poems while he was a student of Vidyasagar College. At that time he dwelt in a mess on Harrison Road which was the role model of Byomkesh Bakshi’s earlier quarters. He got married while he was still a student in 1918 to Parul. He pursued law and took writing completely. When he first introduced Byomkesh Bakshi to the audience in 1932 he had already become a recognized writer.
