Biography: R. K. Narayan R K Narayan (His full name is Rushipuram Krishnaswami Narayan) was born in 1906 in Madras. He was brought up in an upper middle class Brahmin family. His vision of a conservative Hindu society got frequently reflected in his novels and stories. His characterization and setting of novels were mostly completed in a lower middle class economic background whose members were neither rich nor fret with financial worries. Narayan was educated in Maharajah’s College in Mysore.
