Taslima Nasrin was was born in 1962 in a Muslim family.But she was brought up in a secular environment. After passed high school in 1976 (SSC) and pre-university course (HSC) in 1978, she studied medicine at the Mymensingh Medical College in Bangladesh and graduated in 1984 securing MBBS degree. She started working as a gynecologist and later as an anesthesiologist in different public hospitals. In 1986 , She wrote her first poetry book . In 1989 she started writing columns on women's rights in the newspapers and Kurt Tucholsky prize from the Swedish PEN, Sakharov prize for freedom, Human Rights award From French Government, Ananda literary award from West Bengal, India etc. Her all part of autobiography has banned. She lived many years of her life in foreign country such as USA, India, Sweden, and France as a political refugee.
