Jhumpa Lahiri earned fame with her debut book Interpreter of Maladies which not only received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1999.The son of the immigrant family is bewildered to choose between two cultural streams, one Bengali and the other American and he is in constant self-examination to locate his self. Jhumpa’s second collection of short stories Unaccustomed Earth was published in 2008 which topped New York Times bestseller list
